The Mitsui
O.S.K. Lines is a well known transport company from Japan. The
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines operates mainly for international shipping.
The containers are easily recognized from their alligator logo
on all their containers which are to be seen in different
harbours of the world. On the above picture, you can see one of
the containers of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines in the port of Auckland,
New Zealand. The company OSK Lines (Osaka Shosen Kaisha) was
founded in 1884. In 1942 the Mitsui Steamship Co., Ltd was
created. The alligator logo was designed by Ryouhei Yanagihara
in 1967. In 1990 a luxury cruise ship is launched called the
Nippon Maru. In 1996 the liner marketing business got the
ISO9002 certification. When you will be visiting Auckland and
its port you will see containers with the alligator logo around.
