The Mt Albert Grammar school is located in Mount Albert in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a secondary school which was founded in 1922 and was a subsidiary of the Auckland Grammar School. When the school was created it was only for boys. The school has also accommodations for over one hundred students; the place is called Towers Hall. There have different headmasters since the opening of the school, Frederick Gamble (1922-1946), William Caradus (1946-1954), Murray Nairn (1954-1969), Maurice Hall (1970-1988) Gregory Taylor (1988-2006) and for the year 2006 it is Dale Burden. Dale Burden took the place of Gregory Taylor, in April 2006, who was headmaster for eighteen years. Gregory Taylor was the First Albertian to become headmaster.
