The War
Memorial Museum is located in the Auckland Domain. The museum is
on a dormant volcano, the construction of the building has been
made in a classicist style. The War Memorial Museum is one of
the most important museums in New Zealand. You will discover in
the museum collections of the history of New Zealand and the
military history. The museum exists since 1852 but the new
building is opened since 1929. While visiting the museum of the
Auckland Domain you will be able to discover the natural history
of New Zealand, you also discover a large collection of
treasures and artefacts of the Pacific Island and Maori. There
is a collection of over one million images, over one million
history specimens from fields of marine biology, land
vertebrates, entomology, botany and geology. The Auckland Domain
is considered as the oldest park and one of largest park of
Auckland. The War Memorial Museum is one of the main attractions
