Milford Sound
is located on the South Island of New Zealand. In Maori it is
known as Piopiotahi which means native thrush. Milford Sound is
within the Fiordland National Park, which make part of the Te
Wahipounamu World Heritage. Fiordland National Park is famous
for alpine climbing and tramping and has a temperate forest
where you can take a walk to evacuate your stress. Milford Sound
is a costal area. It is around five hours driving from
Queenstown which is considered as a resort town. Milford Sound
is region which has a high rainfall around seven metres in a
year, so it is often said if someone wants to visit the place,
not to forget an umbrella. This place is fabulous and popular
for its natural beauty with magnificent rainfalls, cliffs and
mountains. Milford Sound is also home of seals, dolphins,
penguins. Milford is an amazing place to visit. Milford has also
a large choice of accommodations as the Milford Sound Lodge and
there is also a large choice of bungalows, hotels and camping.
