The mirror is
located on the South Island of New Zealand. As you can observe
on the picture it reflects the beautiful surrounding, mainly the
Mount Cook and Mount Tasman, that’s why it is called mirror
lake. It is a beautiful lake quite popular which a lot people
visit during their stay in Milford Sound. The lake is also known
as Lake Matheson. The Lake is not far from a camping site at
Rainforest Retreat called Forest Park and also close to the
village Franz Josef Glacier. From the camping sites you can
easily access to the lake and spend a nice day there with family
and friends. The Lake Matheson is near the Fox Glacier. The
place is very famous. The lake has been formed around 14,000
years ago by glaciation. The Fox Glacier is also a popular place
and a lot visited by the tourist or New Zealanders. In Maori it
is called Te Moeka o Tuawe. The Fox Glacier got its name in 1872
after Sir William Fox. It is one of the big attractions in the
South Island of New Zealand. The Mirror Lake is a magnificent
place to make beautiful pictures. So while visiting New Zealand
