beautiful region of New Ply Plymouth under a beautiful rainbow.
New Plymouth is located in New Zealand on the North Island. It
is also the main city and harbour of the Taranaki region. The
New Plymouth has been for centuries a historical place where the
Maori tribes were living. The area of New Plymouth is mainly
used for dairy farming. The boat of William Bryant sailed to the
area during the year 1840 where the early Europeans settled for
some time before. There were not only settlers from United
Kingdom when in 1841 was declared as New Plymouth town, but they
came also from China, Poland, India, Switzerland and
Netherlands. When more and more settlers came in the region
conflict started between them and the Maoris, because the Maoris
did not want to sell their land and this created a war of ten
years. |
